all natural

I have been wanting to make pretty much everything I use from home, so I know all the ingredients are natural and such. I was looking online for recipes for all natural products and I realized there are soooo many. I've decided to start with shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, deodorant, laundry soap, and dish washing soap.
I'm so excited. There are so many other things you can make from home too, even make up. It will save us money, give me something to do, and be better for us.
Here are some recipes I thought were pretty interesting:

All Natural Hairspray
Boil 2 cups water and 1 lemon chopped into 1/2 inch pieces until it is reduced by half. Cool and strain into a spray bottle. Add 1 tbsp rubbing alcohol. Stores for two weeks.

Deodorant
Melt 2 tbsp beeswax with 2 tbsp coconut oil. Stir until well blended. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp each of thyme, lavender, and rosemary essential oils. Pour into suitable mould ( empty deodorant stick container is ideal) leave until set.

I really hope the deodorant works. If not I guess I will just have to try another recipe.
Fact for you: Did you know that store bought deodorant has aluminum in it, which is not good for you and some people think that over time it gets into your pores and can cause alzeimers.

I don't really know how true this is, but just in case I'll try my homemade kind.

Until next time....

Cool entry, Amber. Where did you get the recipes--book or magazine, what? I was curious about the shampoo since there's a lot of questionable ingredients in most of them.
