No sleep and a bowl of ice cream

A giant bowl of ice cream at 2:00 a.m is prob. one of the best things ever. Once again I couldn't sleep, so I tossed and turned, thought too much when I closed my eyes, and tossed and turned some more. So I decided to get up this time, I ate a giant bowl of ice cream, took a really hot shower, and put my ipod in. I finally fell asleep at like 4:00 a.m. only to be woken up at 6:00 a.m. by a loud, very energetic two year old.

Now it's off to bake some apple cranberry spice muffins and get some coffee. Oh ya and last night for dinner we had cranberry pork chops which were quite amazing. I'm slowly getting better at this cooking thing :)

Winter

Every year I anxiously wait for the time of rain, hot chocolate, scarves, and jackets. Winter is my favorite season. I love the way the rain sounds when it hits the ground, the way the air smells, and winter clothes are just cuter :)

I do have to say though that this winter has been horrible. Two weeks of rain at the most. What kind of winter is that. I want rain, and lightning (It is so pretty). I bought an umbrella this year and I don't think I've even used it. I'm disappointed in this winter.

Morning

Coffee in the morning is one of the greatest things. Sometimes I have this problem where I just lay in bed and can't sleep. Tossing and turning, pretty much all night. What a pain.
Last night was one of those nights.

Beautiful Hutch

I have been looking for a hutch for my kitchen for a really long time. Used ones are normally not nice anymore or too expensive.

Today my mom dragged me to the thrift store, because she had to get something and can you believe it, there was the perfect hutch.. It was still in super condition, I fell in love.. I'm not at all a materialistic person, but this was something that I had to have. So I bought it, It is sooo pretty. I would take a picture and show you but my camera broke the other day ( I don't know how it just stopped working, I changed the batteries but it was still dead).

So I am super excited, also, forgiveness was part of my day and I feel like I can now move on, and be okay.

Two Things

Today I made a Coconut Cream pie for dessert for after dinner. It turned out really good. I've always wanted to make meringue but I've never had the chance to until tonight.

The second thing, we have been trying new things for dinner, to get our kids to try different foods instead of the same things all the time.. Anyways, tonight we were going to have stuffed shells with artichokes. It sounded good, while I was making it it stopped looking good, and it no longer smelt good either. I decided that who ever came up with this recipe probably had no taste buds :) The filling was like cottage cheese, carrots and spinach, and the sauce for the top was mushrooms, artichoke hearts, and diced tomatoes. It really did sound good...didn't taste too well so we pretty much threw away a whole dinner.. I felt pretty bad, I hate throwing food away but no one would eat it...

Joined a new yahoo group today

Today I joined http://groups.yahoo.com/group/InspirationalHomemaking. It is a group where people talk about homemaking and their ideas and their schedules and such. It is really interesting. You get a lot of e-mail from them, but it's really neat to see how other people do things.

Suzanne, I thought if you when I started reading some of their posts. So you should at least check it out.

Just a few things...

I've been thinking about how God put us on this earth to pretty much get everyone into heaven. To let people know that he is the one and only way. So It's been put on my heart to do just that. I know I'll have to get over being shy, but if it's for God it's worth it. I haven't really figured out how I am going to do this, but I want EVERYONE to have what God has given me. It's a gift and everyone should at least know that it is out there for them.

Second, I decided to do a random act of kindness everyday to someone for the rest of the year. It will be fun, and just to know I made someone's smile makes my heart happy.

This should be fun!!!

What a day...

So my day consisted of baking 12 dozen cookies, chasing a cat ( that is not mine) all around my apartment till I could finally catch it and put it back outside, and a huge incident involving a full container of baby oil, books, a bookshelf and my head...(Not a very pretty combination)

I finally just got cameron down for a nap, shoved something to eat down really fast while leilani was being a little terrorist, and now I think I need to go to bed...Only one more hour till James gets home...

Oh my what a day....

I was looking up Christian Pre School Curriculum, because I've been trying to get Cameron to do productive things and I am really running out of ideas. Anyways I was looking through the different one's and I came across this one; Veggie Tales Preschool Curriculum. He loves veggie tales, and it's christian based, so it seems good to me...Now I just have to come up with $200 to get it :)
